Happy Reading!
It's funny, a famous author said in one of her 'books about books' that reviews don't need to be endless, a few sentences about the plot is enough. And every time you do one of these wonderful Haiku posts you prove that. I now want to read all of these books. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad these books sound good to you. I really enjoyed them all. And I love the Ellery Hathaway series by Schaffhausen; if you decide to read those, be sure to start with the first book, The Vanishing Season. It's awesome!
DeleteI'm always looking forward to your Haiku reviews. They are always so cute. Thanks a lot, Lark.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I work hard on them. :)
DeleteAnd it pays off. Well done.
DeleteI love your reviews. All three of these sound really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I had fun reading them. :)
DeleteI love reading your haiku reviews! I'm glad these were all 4 or 5 star books for you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's always nice when you get a run of really good books to read. I got lucky with these. :)
DeleteApparently, you have had some very good reading experiences recently!
ReplyDeleteAll reading experiences are good...aren't they? ;D
DeleteThese short reviews, I'm willing to bet, are a whole lot harder to produce than they look. Well done, Lark, as always.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sam! Some haikus are easier to write than others; and some take me several attempts, and even then they're not quite what I want them to be. I hope you're doing well. :)
DeleteI say this every time, but it is true. I love your Haiku reviews. My husband used to do three sentence reviews on Goodreads and they were very succinct and to the point. I wish he still did those.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I want to read Last Seen Alive, but your review of that is perfect.
That haiku came together really fast. The other two were harder to get right this time. And I like the idea of your husband's three sentence reviews. :)
DeleteI love these Haiku reviews! So much fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! :)
DeleteOoh I like the sound of both of those thrillers
ReplyDeleteThey were each really good...but then I've liked all the books in those two particular series. :)
DeleteI always look forward to your haiku reviews. All three of these books sound great! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ashley! :D
DeleteYay for your haiku reviews! I really need to catch up on that series by Joanna Schaffhausen.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody! This last Schaffhausen book was really good. I think you'll really like it. :)
DeleteI'm reading the Josie Quinn series, but in and out of order. It doesn't seem to affect my enjoyment though.
ReplyDeleteI love poetry and haikus are fun. I've read all but the newest in the Schaffhausen series, so I shouldn't forget about that one. Have a good week.
The Josie Quinn series is a fun one, isn't it? I really like all the characters in it. :D
DeleteLoved Last Seen Alive! I was happy Ellery and Reed finally seem settled. I wonder if it's the end to the series. Hope not. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not the end of the series either, but if it is at least they're ending up together which makes me happy. :)
Delete*flails* There’s a new Ellery Hathaway book??? AAAAH, and it sounds sooo good! - Verushka (Pop. Edit. Lit)
ReplyDeleteIt is so good! You'll love it. :D
DeleteThe haikus for the first and third ones are totally spine-chilling! *shivers*
ReplyDelete:D Thanks! I tried to capture how suspenseful both books are.
DeleteThese are so great! Well done, Lark!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :)
DeleteThese all sound like winners! I especially like the sound of Lucky Leap Day.
ReplyDeleteLucky Leap Day was just a fun read. :)
