Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's meme is Books with Geographical Terms in the Title. For the books on my list, I went with some favorite reads. Here they are:
1. Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
2. The White Forest by Adam McOmber
3. The Reef by Edith Wharton
4. The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley
5. Dream Lake by Lisa Kleypas
7. Small Country by Gael Faye
8. Cold Heart Creek by Lisa Regan
9. The Precipice by Paul Doiron
10. In the Woods by Tana French
I love seeing On the Island. That was one where I couldn't stop thinking about the characters long after I finished the book.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I enjoyed reading that one...and thinking about it afterwards, too. :)
DeleteThat's an interesting list. I've read the Murakami and the French entries, both of which were excellent.
ReplyDeleteThey're two very different writers, but very good. :)
DeleteGreat picks for this week's topic! I added Small Country to my TBR. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my Top Ten Tuesday list!
Small Country is an amazing book! I loved it. :)
DeleteI had seen 'Kafka on the shore' many times and didn't really have a desire to read it but I'm still curious about it as Murakami's writing always has interesting ideas to think over.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
My list: Favorite Book Dedications
Murakami's writing always makes you think. And his stories are very unique.
DeleteNice list of titles with geographical terms in them. I don’t know any of these books, but they look interesting.
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT: https://herseriallife.com/top-10-books-with-geographical-terms-in-title/
Have a great week 😀
Thanks. And thanks for commenting! :)
DeleteGreat list! I haven't read any of these but quite a few are ones I hope to get around to someday. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're all pretty good reads. :)
DeleteThe Reef sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-with-geographical-terms-in-the-title/
It's a sad book, but I love Wharton's writing in it. :)
DeleteYou did an excellent job finding titles with terms. I had a very difficult time with this task this week. Apparently I don't read many books with geographical terms. My list this week
ReplyDeleteSome TTT lists are easier than others. When they're hard for me, I don't even try to do them. ;D
DeleteThat's a great list! I haven't read any of those books, but I'm hoping to read The Winter Sea soon as I love Susanna Kearsley.
ReplyDeleteThe Winter Sea is a one of my favs!
DeleteNice list, Lark. I have not read nay of these but several caught my attention.
ReplyDeleteI tried to find a wide variety of books this week. And I've actually read all of them this time around. Usually I can't say that. ;D
DeleteIn the Woods is a book I keep meaning to read. I have heard good things about Tana French
ReplyDeleteTana French writes some very compelling books. I thought about In the Woods for days after I finished reading it. :)
DeleteGreat choice of words! :D In the Woods would've made my list if I'd read it. It's still on my TBR, though.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one. Very compelling.
DeleteOoh nice picks I've been wanting to read Tana French. And heard good things about The winter sea
ReplyDeleteTana French writes some pretty compelling books. And I loved The Winter Sea. :D
DeleteYou found some fun ones! I love the word "precipice" - it's just so evocative. Perfect for a mystery/thriller.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Precipice is a great word. It was a pretty good book, too. :)
DeleteOoooh, geography nerd here, loving this week's theme!! :-D
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun? The hardest part was narrowing my list of titles down to just ten. :D
DeleteSuch a terrific list!

Thanks!
DeleteSuch a great list of books. I see several favorites up there. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun prompt. :)
DeleteWell done! You have a great variety of terms here too.
ReplyDeleteI tried not to repeat this time around.
DeleteLoved On the Island! I'd like to read Tana French sometime. I've enjoyed a Paul Doiron in the past. This is a fun prompt and I like your choices, Lark!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying Doiron's books. And On the Island was a good one, wasn't it? :D
DeleteYou have a lot of good ones here. I was just reminded of some books with reef in the title that I have read. Should have used them!
ReplyDeleteThey would have been good on this list! Oh, well... you can save them for another time. ;)
DeleteGreat job -- I haven't seen reef or precipice on any other lists this week! And I love that you included The Winter Sea -- I don't know why I didn't think of it, but I ended up with a different "sea" book instead.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of books with sea in the title to choose from; I went with Winter Sea only because I loved it so much.
DeleteYou found a good collection. Funnily enough, I have seen quite a few lists like this where I read the first book and none of the others. Like yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT this week.
I hadn't read any books on your TTT list this week, so you did better than me. ;D
DeleteIt's not a competition. LOL
Delete:D
DeleteGreat list, Lark! I really enjoyed Tana French's In the Woods! One of my favourites! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a very compelling and memorable book.
DeleteI've not read any of these, but I'll definitely be looking into some of them! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by and commenting! :)
DeleteYay for The Reef! In the Woods is waiting on my shelf. Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And Wharton's writing is so beautiful in The Reef, I love it.
DeleteThe only one I've read is Dream Lake which I loved. I do want to read several others I see - especially The Reef and The Winter Sea.
ReplyDeleteDream Lake was good! And I think you'd really like The Winter Sea. :D
DeleteI really need to read Kafka on the Shore. I have read In the Woods and I love it. I've really enjoyed several of Tana French's books. Great TTT list!
ReplyDeleteKafka on the Shore is quirky and strange and I loved it.
