"...a life spent reading-that is a good life." -Annie Dillard
Excellent advice! Happy, happy day, Lark!
I love that first quote! The realization that I could choose my moods was life-changing for me. I didn't have to let a negative moment ruin my day.
Thanks Lark ... I will choose happiness today :-)
So true, Lark! Happiness is a choice. Thank you for sharing this positive message! :)
I like, especially the one from Goldie :)
I agree that happiness is a choice. Sometimes I forget that though.
I love these! Definitely a believer in the idea of choosing happiness, even though it can be challenging to put into practice sometimes.
Thanks for these quotes Lark. The Valerie Bertinelli quote is interesting because as Valerie says it might not be easy to choose happiness during stressful and dark times but maybe that's the time when it most important to be optimistic.
Agree with the first one. Though sometimes it feels like a tiring business to constantly forcing one self to be optimistic...
These are great quotes and I especially liked Goldie Hawn's! Hope you're having a happy week :)
Some good advice there, but I'm not sure that I buy the first one as being anywhere near a universal truth. And then again, maybe I'm just a pessimist tonight.
Those are great quotes! Happy day to you, Lark! :)
I love this, Lark! I definitely needed to be reminded of this. Hope you're having a happy day. :D
Those are good things to remember!
All of these are great, thanks for sharing!
These are all so very true.
I thoroughly believe that we are the architects of our own happiness. I look for little things that bring me joy each day, especially on the difficult ones. A good read and connecting with my blogging buddies certainly helps!
Very wise words, Ethan. It is the little things...and what we focus on...that determines how we feel. Being grateful for those little things always makes me happier, too.
I especially like the first one.
