  4. Yes! What a great quote. Love the painting too. :)

  5. I wonder when it went out of fashion to paint pictures of sophisticated women enjoying a good book. Nowadays, if they read at all, they would have to be painted enjoying their kindles or nooks.

    1. And kindles and nooks just aren't as artistic as books imo.

  6. It's a beautiful picture, but, as Sam points out, probably a thing of the past. With a Kindle, I hold a whole library in my hands and it's hard to compete with that.

    1. It really is! Kindles are great, but I will always love real books best. :D

  7. There are few things as good as reading a good book. :)

The story on Vella is going great! I love how Ellie got a new perspective from the ice sculpture, about getting involved. And Jenna was a little upset at the kiss?? Hmmm... oh, NOW I see. Jenna is his ******? :):)):

    2. I did NOT guess it. I love where this is going. And I hope Ellie gives Derek another chance. You really manage to capture the feel of the little town, all snowy and lots secrets... it occurred to me though that my above comment is a little spoilery, even though I x'd it out, so delete if you want to :)

    3. Your comment doesn't spoil anything...and it just might make someone want to find out the secret for themselves. Which is all good in my book. :D

  13. Oh I love the quote (and the book it came from) and I love the art. I think as soon as I get all the Christmas done with I'm going to spend a day lying on the couch reading!
