Maurice Louis Tete -- Woman reading in an interior
"I believe that 'finding the book you're looking for' is an overrated notion. Far better to explore, and let the book you need be the one which finds you."
The picture is lovely. The quote definitely 'spoke' to me and I totally agree with the thought there. I have had certain books that 'found' me at just the right time. I love it when that happens.
I really like that quote. I think sometimes that the perfect book does find you just when you need it most - even if you hadn't even realized that it existed.

ReplyDeleteWhat an atmospheric and evocative picture! And there is much truth in that quote.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote! It's funny how the perfect book finds me just when I need it. :D
ReplyDeleteLove that quote. I've found some real gems poking in antique shops and little free libraries.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good quote.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with that quote. The books that find me are usually the best ones.
ReplyDeleteI think the quote is spot-on. I even wonder if the best books are sent by some kind of force we can't comprehend. I know that sounds weird. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful quote. I'm getting modern mixed with historical art vibes from the picture. I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quote! I like the idea of the right book finding me. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to explore more. I always get the book I'm looking for instead of vice versa ...
ReplyDeleteI love the artwork! I love it when a book finds me. It's even more special when it's a book I didn't know I was looking for.
ReplyDeleteLark, I love these paintings and quotes you share with us - they are always my cup of tea :) Thank you!!
