Welcome to 2025!

For me, the beginning of a new year is always a time for self-reflection. A time to consider if I'm where I want to be, what changes I may want to make, and what goals, if any, I want to set. And it's a time for me to reset my focus for the upcoming year. Because if I don't clarify my thoughts and write down my goals, dreams and intentions, then I won't accomplish anything. And there are definitely some changes I'd like to make in my life, because I am still a work in progress.

So, here's the short list of things I want to be more Intentional about doing this year:
  • Self care
  • Being mindful in the moment
  • Breathing
  • Seeking God, and trusting Him
  • Having fun!
  • Kindness (towards others, but also towards myself)
  • Gratitude and Gladness
  • Connecting with others
  • Being open to new adventures
Mostly, I hope that 2025 turns out to be a good year for all of us.

Happy New Year!

  3. Happy New Year! I'm using the holiday (day off from work) to do some of the same. I've found writing goals down (physically, not typing them) helped me focus and remember last year, so I have my notebook ready.

    1. I can be really hard on myself, which isn't good. So this year I'm going to try and be more positive and give myself a little grace.

  9. You've got a solid plan to work on all parts of you for 2025. I like to do goals for progressing forward with a plan.

  13. My favorite things from your list are "Being mindful in the moment" and "Gratitude and Gladness." I do some breathing exercises most nights to help me go to sleep, but I do stay up too late.

I hope we all have a good 2025.

    1. Breathing exercises are so good...any time of the day. I need to do more of them. And gratitude and gladness is something I started working on in 2024, and really feel the need to continue doing this year. Happy 2025! :D

  14. A good list of goals Lark. I am wondering if habit trackers are a way to accomplish our goals. They have some nice ones through Amazon and you list 5 or 6 goals for the month that you need to do each day and check them off each evening. It's something I am thinking about. Have a very Happy New Year.

    1. If you get one you'll have to let me know how you like it, and if it does actually help you stay on track. And I hope 2025 is a good year for you! :D

  15. I like 'I am still a work in progress'. I'm quite a lot older than you, but I still feel that way. Lots to learn still, things to do, places to go. :-) Happy New Year, Lark.

    1. That word just felt like a good theme word for me for 2025. I think I've been letting life happen to me, and I want to be more intentional about choosing the life I live this year...if that makes sense. :D

    1. Trusting God should be so easy, but it's something I struggle with, which is why I need to work on it this year. :D
