Top Ten Tuesday...

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's theme is supposed to be NEW-TO-ME AUTHORS I DISCOVERED IN 2024. But I wasn't feeling that. I read A LOT of new authors every year. And trying to narrow them down to just ten? Not happening. So, I went rogue this week and chose to do TEN FAVORITE BOOKS I READ IN JANUARY OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS instead. Because I always have fun looking back at past reads. These are all favorite reads of mine, and books I recommend!

Happy Reading!

  1. I struggled to narrow down new-to-me authors this week too. I love the theme you chose instead! The Children sounds interesting.

  2. The only one of these that I have read is "Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line" which I agree was a marvelous book. In fact, it was a rare five-star read for me.

  3. I like your take on this, Lark! And I've not read any of these books. Will look through and see if there are a few I'd like to try. Thanks and hope your reading is great this week!

  5. Ooh this is fun! Happy Tuesday BTW! I remember Six Wakes! It had a very distinctive opening as I recall. I think I've read Natalie Richards as well, possibly her debut. Nope, I just checked, it was Five Total strangrs. I liked that.

  7. Creating these lists, and living in memory-land is the most fun for us, the creators. Thanks for this list. Di you see I did the exact same prompt? Like minds!

  9. I thought it would be harder than it was to narrow down, but I tried to stick with books I had rated 5-stars, which really did narrow it down :)

  10. I like it when you list your favorites of a certain month down through the years! I haven't read any of these, but Admiral looks interesting! :)

  11. Small As an Elephant has an interesting cover. I’d never think to describe even a baby elephant as small. :)

  12. I picked the ten most recent, which all came from the last few months. I have only read one of these, The Last Chance Library. Nothing wrong with going rogue.

  14. I had forgotten all about SMALL AS AN ELEPHANT! I really liked that book when I read it. That's the only one I've read from your list.

    Happy TTT!

  15. I love this topic and may have to borrow it myself one day. :-) I still haven't read Admiral. Why haven't I read Admiral? I haven't ready from your list, but Freya Sampson's book is on my TBR as is Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line. Thank you for sharing your January favorites from the past!
