Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is books with a certain word in the title, but you get to choose the word. As I was perusing my bookshelves for ideas and inspiration, I noticed that I own a lot of books with 'shadow' in the title. So, here's my list of TEN BOOKS WITH THE WORD SHADOW IN THE TITLE. (All of which I've read, own and love.)
When Shadows Dance by C.S. Harris
Delia's Shadow by Jaime Lee Moyer
Out of the Shadows by Kay Hooper
The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley
The Library of Shadows by Mikkel Birkegaard
The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
Shadow Land by Adam Wright
The Shadow Girls by Dawn Merriman
The Secret of Shadow Ranch by Carolyn Keene
Ooh…love these! So spooky! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteShows you what kinds of reads I like best! ;D
DeleteThat's a great choice of word! I have read The Shadow of the Wind and The Secret of Shadow Ranch. I also have the Susanna Kearsley book on my TBR, which I'm looking forward to.
ReplyDeleteI really like that Kearsley novel; probably because it takes place in Scotland.
DeleteGreat blog
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMy ears always perk up when I see the word shadow in a title. I like that word.
ReplyDeleteI do, too! That's why I own so many books with it in the title. ;D
DeleteHa! Fun topic for a post. I could do ten shadow books, too, and only one overlap Shadow of the Wind. (Though I did get rid of all of my Nancy Drew books years ago, or I have had two.)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get rid of that Nancy Drew 'cause it takes place at the ranch...a setting I have always loved. :D
DeleteWhat a fun topic! The Secret of Shadow Ranch is one of my favorite Nancy Drew books. :D
ReplyDeleteMe, too! Anything with girls and horses and a mystery. :D
DeleteLove these.

Thank you!
DeleteThat's an interesting list. I remember reading that Nancy Drew mystery long, long ago. Like Ashley, it was a favorite of mine. I read "Shadow of the Wind" a few years ago and awarded it three stars, so not a favorite but not bad.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I really liked Shadow of the Wind, enough to read the other four books he wrote that kind of follow it. :D
DeleteGreat choice for a word! I didn't think of that one. I tried a few, but "Dead" was the one I picked. I wanted one where I read and loved the book. It's been a million years since I read a Nancy Drew. I need to check out the others on your list. The Shadowy Horses looks good! Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteI love The Shadowy Horses!
DeleteThose covers were a great choice.
ReplyDelete:D Thank you!
DeleteNice word choice for this week's TTT post!!!
ReplyDeleteI was a little surprised by how many books I do own that have 'shadow' in the title. It certainly made this post easy. :D
DeleteFab list, and I love your choice of words! Shadowy Horses was such a good book!
ReplyDeleteI do really love that one. :D
DeleteOh, I love your word - 'shadow'. I've read 2 or 3 of the ones you listed. Secret of Shadow Ranch and I think I've read The Shadowy Horses and probably Out Of The Shadows as well. They all look good!
ReplyDeleteOut of the Shadows is one of my favorite Kay Hooper books. :D
DeleteOooh...great word choice. I did a quick search of my Goodreads and I would be able to do a list like this as well...someday ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to have a backup TTT plan for when you can't think of anything else to do. ;D
DeleteLove me a good Nancy Drew--I 100% read that one.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Nancy Drew books. :D
DeleteI read the Nancy Drew book but couldn't finish 'the shadow of the wind.' I do like titles with shadow in it as it seem quite mysterious.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
It does seem mysterious. Probably why I like it, too. :D
DeleteSo many Shadow titles! Yay Nancy Drew. And I still need to read The Shadow of the Wind ! someday I will
ReplyDeleteI did really like that one. :D
DeleteI love the word shadow in a title and the fact that you included the Nancy Drew made me very happy!
ReplyDeleteNancy Drew is such a great heroine. She always makes me smile. :D
DeleteI like the word shadow on a book cover and I am going to look into these books to see which ones to put on my list.
ReplyDeleteThere are probably several on this list that you would enjoy.
DeleteShadow is a great word. I've only read one of your books (The Shadow of the Wind) and that was fan-tas-tic. I found six books altogether, so this might be a good topic for Top Five Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my post:

It is a fun word to find book titles for. And I totally loved The Shadow of the Wind, too. :D
DeleteThat is one of my all-time favourite books, no matter which category.
DeleteIt is really good. I loved the books that follow it, too.
DeleteAll his books are fantastic. I'm sad there won't be any more.
DeleteMe, too!
DeleteShadow is a wonderful choice. I know there has to be tons of books with it in the title. What memories, after seeing it here, I remembered that was once of my favorite Nancy Drew books ever. My mom enrolled me in a club when I was young and I would get two Nancy Drew books in the mail every other month. I looked forward to that mail so much.
ReplyDeleteA Nancy Drew book club? How fun is that! I loved those books growing up. :D
DeleteWhat a great choice for a word in the title, Lark. I was so impressed to see the variety this week. I have only read two of these, Nancy Drew and The Shadow of the Wind. I chose "secret" this past week.
ReplyDeleteSecret is a great word for a TTT post. I'm going to remember that for the next time. :D
