Randomness...

I've been listening to (and loving!) Alex Warren's new album You'll Be Alright, Kid. I started to list my favorite songs, but then realized I was listing them all, so instead I will just say that this entire album is amazing and I love every song on it.

Went and saw the movie Now You See Me: Now You Don't. It's as entertaining and humorous as the first one. I love a good caper movie, and with all the magic tricks and illusions in this one it's non-stop fun.

More glad things from last month:
  • Had a relaxing and fun Thanksgiving weekend, with three days off from work and lots of game-playing time with my family.
  • Checked lots of good books out of the library that I'm looking forward to reading this month.
  • Watched the Olympic Curling trials on TV. (I love curling!)
  • Found a few new healthy recipes using red lentils and garbanzo beans that turned out to be really yummy.
  • BYU's football team pulled off an 11-1 season, which made me very happy. And they've still got the Big12 Championship game to play on Saturday. Fingers crossed they play well and go on to the college playoffs.
  • But my best glad thing is the many kind comments all of you leave on my blog each week. Your support and friendship mean the world to me. So thank you!
Happy Reading!

  3. I'm happy to hear the movie was a hit! We went and saw Wicked and found it to suffer from many of the same issues the second act of the show does. It's fun, but not earth-shattering.

    1. I haven't seen Wicked.,..sorry it wasn't as good as you were hoping for. It's certainly popular with every age though, from third graders to grandmothers.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving! How funny that you're a curling fan! I have fond memories of a very cold weekend years ago where my daughter spent a full day inside curled up under cozy blankets watching curling for hours and hours! We were fascinated by it :)

    1. I was fascinated with curling the first time I saw it, too...like watching a chess match and billiards combined, but on ice. And I have loved watching it ever since. :D

    1. They're so yummy and so versatile. And red lentils are surprisingly good, too. (I don't love the tougher, brown ones.)

  9. I love a caper movie! Adding Now You See Me Now You Don't to my watch list! I've been ignoring football the last few years. As a lifelong diehard Auburn fan it's been a rough few years! Yay for BYU though! We love curling too. I'll have to look for the Olympic trials. It'd be nice to watch a sport that doesn't stress me out! Have a wonderful December!

    1. I was rooting for Auburn to beat Alabama last Saturday...and they almost did. I was so sad when they lost. And curling is fun! It's my favorite winter Olympic sport. ;D

I am so excited for the winter Olympics--hadn't thought to look for time trial, qualifying events. Good idea.
