Top Ten Tuesday: Freebie!

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme was a freebie. So, after much thought and deliberation, I finally came up with my own top ten theme:  Books Set In Countries That I've Actually Visited. (And I have the stamps in my passport to prove it!)

1. The Netherlands:
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom

2. Scotland:
The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley
The End of Summer by Rosamunde Pilcher

3. Thailand:
The Thai Amulet by Lyn Hamilton

4. Cambodia:

5. Bali:
Balilicious by Becky Wicks

6. France (specifically Paris):

7. Mexico:
The Xibalba Murders by Lyn Hamilton

8. The Galapagos:

9. Egypt:
Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie

10. Morocco:
(which technically I've never been to but where I hope to go someday.)
The Tattooed Map by Barbara Hodgson

Happy Reading!

  3. Wow...the Galapagos. That takes some doing; it's not one of those places you stop at on the way to someplace else. Great theme today.

    1. If I went back to the Galapagos I'd plan on spending a few extra days exploring Ecuador, which I didn't get to do the first time around. :)

  9. Color me pea green with envy over the wonderful places you’ve visited—what an inspired theme for a freebie Top Ten. I haven’t heard of that one by Rosamund Pilcher, but I’ll look for it as I enjoy a good Pilcher!

  14. What a creative theme. I haven't read very widely around the world. I'd probably have to do states. Ha! I do love In the Shadow of the Banyan though. So well-written.
