Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme: Books With an Adjective in the Title.
I decided to go with some of my favorite picture books this week, because they tend to have the best adjectives.
The Steadfast Tin Soldier
The Twelve Dancing Princesses
Creepy Carrots
The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear
The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight
Nerdy Birdy Tweets
My Big Bad Monster
The Blue Songbird
Cyrus the Unsinkable Sea Serpent
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Happy Reading!
So many new to me kids books I'm curious about. Of course I've always loved: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. great list
ReplyDeleteCan't have a list of books with adjectives in the title without that one! :D
DeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteI went with kids' books, too.
Your TTT list is great. I can't believe how many books you found with little and big in the titles!
DeleteHow fun! ALEXANDER was the first book that came to mind when I saw today's prompt. I also love "steadfast" and "creepy" - those are great adjectives.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
And Creepy Carrots is the best picture book. :D
DeleteChildren's books do have the best adjectives, calculated to draw kids in. You've mentioned some really good ones.
ReplyDeleteI had fun with this week's list. :D
DeleteLove this! I have read some of those books, and I love them. I will have to add to the rest to my library holds so I can read them with my kids.

DeleteOooooh, I love your list of adjectives, I mean the books, of course. So sweet! Unfortunately, I am not that up-to-date with children's books but I always loved them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my good, bad, and ugly TTT this week.
I worked in an elementary school library a few years ago, which helped keep me a little up to date with the new picture books. Not so much any more though. :)
DeleteI always worked with books while my kids were at school, library, book sales, reading with them, and, of course, reading with my kids. But my youngest left school about 10 years ago, so I haven't had much information since then.
DeleteLife keeps changing on us, doesn't it?
DeleteIt does. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the not so good but we keep on going. And books certainly help us with that.
DeleteGreat list! And I love the covers too! So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had fun picking them out. :D
