Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week there's a different theme. This week's theme?
Books on my Summer 2022 To-Read List:
The Wedding Plot by Paula Munier
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
The Hidden One by Linda Castillo
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
Mulberry Hollow by Denise Hunter
The Bodyguard by Katherine Center
My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey
The Dark by Sharon Bolton
Sleeper 13 by Rob Sinclair
Turn to Me by Becky Wade
Winter's Mourn by Mary Stone
Pay Dirt Road by Samantha Jayne Allen
I like to read a mix of mystery & suspense and fun romance in the summer.
What about you? What's on your summer reading list?
Happy Reading!
Looks like a good and varied list for summer. I want to get into The Thursday Murder Club as I just noticed the 3rd book of the series will be coming out soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad how quickly you can fall behind in a series. It feels like The Thursday Murder Club just came out! ;D
DeleteI've heard only good things about My Killer Vacation!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks like a very fun summer read. :) Thanks for commenting! I'd comment back on your blog, but I don't want to sign up for Discus. But I checked out your post! :)
DeleteLooks like you have a great summer of reading to look forward to. I loved The Dark!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read that one! (And so impatient for my library to get it in.)
DeleteThe Wedding Plot looks good. Enjoy!

I love that Paula Munier series! It's such a fun one. :)
DeleteI don't do lists. I'm more of a spur of the moment decision reader. Your list sounds interesting though.
ReplyDeleteI like to do short lists like this just so I don't end up forgetting any of the books I really want to read next. Otherwise, titles start to fall through the cracks...or disappear into the abyss that is my TBR list. ;D
DeleteThe Thursday Murder club is such a unique title.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It looks like a fun mystery read. :)
DeleteThursday Murder Club! I'd forgotten all about it, and I hear there's a sequel out there too. Must get to it soon, if only my reading slump would sort itself out.
ReplyDeleteReading slumps are the worst! Hope you find a good book to pull you out of yours soon.
DeleteI want to read My Killer Vacation too!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ www.shootingstarsmag.net
Doesn't that one look like fun? I've got it on hold at my library already. :) Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI'm looking forward to The Bodyguard, too!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like such a fun read! And I do like Katherine Center. :)
DeleteThey all sound good! I can't wait for Sharon Bolton's The Dark!
ReplyDeleteHi, Melody! I can't wait for that one either! I love Bolton's Lacey Flint series. :D
DeleteI've yet to read anything by Center, but I'm seeing so many raves for The Bodyguard!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a good one, doesn't it? I really loved her book, Things You Save in a Fire, so I'm looking forward to The Bodyguard. :)
DeleteI think you'll like The Thursday Murder Club, though not everyone does. I have book 2 on my tbr pile, hope to get to that in the autumn.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading it! I've already gotten a copy from my library, but I need to finish Jonasson's Snowblind first. :)
DeleteLooks like you've got some great reading ahead of you this summer! I hope you enjoy them all! I really need to start that Becky Wade series. It sounds so good! :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look good! I'm excited to read the first one...if my library hold ever comes in. :)
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these!

Thank you! And thanks for commenting. :)
DeleteOoh The Wedding Plot looks good. I've been so much about mysteries lately!
ReplyDeleteI loved Munier's other books, so I'm really looking forward to The Wedding Plot!
DeleteTHE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB is a fun read. I still need to read the second book and I think there's even a third one now? Yikes! How do I get so far behind so easily? LOL.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I'm even more behind than you! ;D
DeleteNice list. I'm really looking forward to Love on the Brain and The Bodyguard as well!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have new books from favorite authors to look forward to. :)
DeleteI'm looking forward to The Bodyguard too! Her books are always so good. I hope you enjoy all of these!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they are all really good reads! :)
DeleteI loved The Thursday Murder Club! Hope you do, too! I have The Bodyguard and Love on the Brain on my list too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading all three of those books! :D
DeleteThese are so good. Regine

Thanks, Regine! :)
DeleteI think nobody had a problem sticking with the topic this week. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be able to read them all. Enjoy.
Thanks for visiting my TTT which has twelve books this week.
I'm sure we all could have easily done lists of 20 Summer TBRs...or more! ;D
Delete... or more ... is a good expression. LOL
DeleteI loved Ali Hazelwood's The Love Hypothesis so I'm planning to read more of her books. I'm interested in Tessa Bailey as well. Enjoy your summer reading!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I really loved The Love Hypothesis, too! Adam and Olive are such great characters. :D
DeleteI like your list and the way you've structured it to encompass several genres because it's too easy to get bogged down otherwise. I don't have a specific summer reading list, but I'm hoping to add to the number of books published in the '40s and '50s that I will have read this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of an eclectic reader and like to choose books from lots of different genres, otherwise I get bored. Your plan to read more books from the 40s and 50s sounds like fun. Are they mostly mysteries? Have a great summer, Sam! :D
DeleteGreat list, Lark. I will also be reading The Bodyguard soon. What rating would you give Paula Munier's books for profanity and love scenes? I think her book The Wedding Plot sounds great and I know you enjoy her books.
ReplyDeleteI've read all of Munier's books about Mercy and her dog, Elvis, and while there is a romance between two of the characters, I don't remember there being any sex scenes, and the swearing, if there is any, is minimal. I'd give them a PG rating.
DeleteThanks Lark!!
DeleteI hope they are all good books.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I'm hoping for no disappointing reads this summer. :D
DeleteI put in a request for The Bodyguard with my library. Hope they all turn out to be great for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for my requested copy of The Bodyguard to come in at my library, too. :)
DeleteI'm so excited for the new Katherine Center, Ali Hazelwood, and Tessa Bailey novels. :)
ReplyDeleteYES! :D
DeleteI set up seasonal TBR lists and invariably, I read only half the titles. But it's still fun to choose the list! Your list looks like a great mix of romance and mysteries/thrillers. I hope you get around to all of them, and that they live up to your expectations.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read all of these, but I know what you mean about hardly ever reading all the books on a list like this. too many other books out there. But I'm hopeful I'll manage it this summer. :)
DeleteThis is a great list, Lark! I hope you get to all of these--or most of them at least!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm hoping to get to all of them, but you never know. :D
