Great picture. I'm afraid the clothes won't be white anymore when they get up. ;) As to the quote, I hope that reading is not old-fashioned at all and will continue far far into the future.
Love the image, although I hate to think that reading is old-fashioned. This quote reminds me of the Roman quote about the youth of “today” going to rack and ruin, circa 50 BCE or so.
I love that painting, very spring/summer, and totally agree with the sentiment.

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love both the art and the quote!
ReplyDeleteThe above Love Love Love comment was me, by the way. Google must be playing hooky today. :-/
DeleteGoogle/Blogger is stupid sometimes.
DeleteGreat picture, though I don't know, lying in the grass in a white dress...
ReplyDeleteI love Szymborska.
The painting is gorgeous! Love the quote, too!

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about books.
ReplyDeleteThe painting scene looks very content. But will those dresses remain white?
ReplyDeleteCute reading scene!
ReplyDeleteI love that art! Nothing like reading outside regardless of the time period!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! I would get a print of this for my office.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a beautiful painting! (Though I would worry about the grass stains on my lovely white dress!)
ReplyDeleteI love both the painting and the quote this week!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good quote and a lovely painting!
ReplyDeleteI'm old-fashioned in the same way (and lots of others). I'm also just old-old, so I have to read in a chair with a back on it. LOL.
