Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is supposed to be Bookish Wishes, but I've decided to go rogue and do BOOKISH BOOKS I WANT TO READ THIS YEAR instead. These are the eleven books I'm hoping to read for Susan's Bookish Books Reading Challenge, but I need to decide which ones to prioritize, and would love to know if any aren't worth my time. Got any thoughts on any of these Bookish Books? Have you read any of them? Should I keep them on my TBR list?
1. The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
2. The Library by Bella Osborne
3. The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore
4. The Bookshop of Second Chances by Jackie Fraser
5. The Little Wartime Library by Kate Thompson
6. The Blackout Book Club by Amy Lynn Green
7. Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa
8. The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen A. Flynn
9. What You Are Looking For is in the Library
by Michiko Aoyama
10. Nevermore Bookstore by Kerrigan Byrne and Cynthia St. Aubin
11. The Air Raid Book Club by Annie Lyons
I'd love to know your thoughts on any and all of these bookish books!
Happy Reading!
The Library by Bella Osborne is the only one I've read and I think it's well worth your time. I loved it. Isn't it wonderful that there're 'so' many books about books around now?
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful; I love reading these kinds of bookish books. And I'll be keeping The Library on my list. :D
DeleteWhat a great theme and you've come up with a very interesting list of books based on it. I haven't read any of them but I'm taking notes for possible reading later.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you end up reading any of them!
DeleteI hope you get to read them. I love the theme!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm hoping to fit all of these books in before the end of the year.
DeleteAll of these sounds great. Books about books or bookstores often catch my eye.

They always catch my eye, too. :D
DeleteI love a good bookish story. I haven't read any of these, but The Blackout Book Club is on my wishlist. I'm intrigued by The Little Wartime Library and Nevermore Bookstore too. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't they look good?
DeleteBookish-themed books are always so much fun. Right up a book lover's alley. :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!
DeleteI loved The Lonely Hearts Book Club and I hope you do too! I have my eye on Nevermore Bookstore since I've enjoyed Kerrigan Bryne's historical romances. I'm curious about her foray into contemporary romance. I need to update my Bookish Book Challenge. I think I haven't linked up lately. :/
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to read The Lonely Hearts Book Club this summer; and I need to see if my library will buy a copy of Nevermore Bookstore. Like you, I've enjoyed Byrne's historical romances in the past and this one looks like fun.
DeleteI haven't read any of these, they are all new to me.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know if they're any good as I read them. :D
DeleteWhat a fun list! The only one I've read is The Bookshop of Second Chances, and I really liked it. Some of these are brand new to me -- I'm really curious about Days at the Morisaki Bookshop, among others. Will look forward to your reviews as you make your way through the list!
ReplyDeleteWriting reveiws seems to be the hardest part for me lately. That's why they keep on getting shorter and shorter. ;D
DeleteYou are really testing my ability to resist temptation. Books about books, libraries, bookstores, writers, are almost impossible for me not to pick up. :-)
ReplyDeleteObviously I find them impossible to resist, too. They're some of my favorite kinds of books to read. :D
DeleteI love this topic and all of these books look absolutely amazing. I thought I had either read or had most books about books on my TBR but almost all of these are new to me.
ReplyDeleteGlad to add to your TBR list! Mine seems to grow daily. ;D
DeleteI always love books about book or library. The latest one is a cozy mystery: The Bookshop Murder by Merynn Allingham, which I loved. I don't know whether you've read it.
ReplyDeleteFrom those 10 on your list, I haven't read any, but have saved a few on my wishlist.
Ooh.. The Bookshop Murder does sound like a fun one. Thanks for the heads up! I'm adding it to my list. :D
DeleteMorisaki is on my to buy soon list. I've heard Bookshop of second Chances is good.
ReplyDeleteThe Morisaki one does sound really good. And I've had Bookshop of Second Chances on my TBR list for years. I really need to finally read it.
DeleteOooh, I ADORE this topic and this list! As much as I love bookish books, I've actually only read THE BLACKOUT BOOK CLUB. I liked it, but I didn't love it. It's an easy read, so I'd recommend it. I'm just disappointed that I didn't adore it like I wanted to, you know?
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Good to know about The Blackout Book Club. At least it reads fast. :D
DeleteI like books about books or bookshops though sometimes they are a tad too "easy" for me. But I loved the first one, The Reading List, an absolutely wonderful novel that I can highly recommend. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about The Reading List! I'm going to try and read it this summer. :D
DeleteI just checked, one of the people you heard from was me. ;)
DeleteWhy am I not surprised? You always have good book recommendations on your blog. :D
DeleteAaaawwww, that's nice of you to say.
DeleteHave not read any of those titles and as a booklover, how could we say no to bookish books? :)
ReplyDeleteApparently I can't! ;D
DeleteI love bookish books and haven't read any of these so they're all going on my TBR. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to add more books to the evergrowing TBR list. :D
DeleteNevermore Bookstore looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it? I really like the sound of that one. Now I just need my library to buy a copy of it. ;D
DeleteI am not familiar with any of these. They do sound interesting though.
ReplyDeleteI've always been drawn to books about bookstores, reading, and books. As you can see from this list. ;D
DeleteThe only one I have read is The Blackout Book Club and I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThat is good to know! :D
DeleteWho can resist a bookshop/library setting! I think I have more than half of these on my wishlist! I hope you do get to them so you can let us know what you think.
ReplyDeleteI never can resist a bookshop/library setting! And I hope to be reading and reviewing all of these before the end of the year, so stay tuned. ;D
DeletePretty good list! Glad you went rogue on this Top 10 :)
ReplyDeleteI took the easy way out. ;D
DeleteOooh, I love bookish books and I haven't read any of these yet! I hope you get to read some of them soon.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I'm working on it...but there are so many other books on my TBR list it's a little tricky fitting them all in.
DeleteI love a good bookish book! I haven't read any of these yet, but a few are on my tbr. Happy bookish reading!
ReplyDeleteIf you hear of any other bookish books that look good be sure to let me know! :D
DeleteI love the book covers, especially the first four. I haven’t read any of these, but they sound good!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed they all end up being as good as they sound! :D
