This week's theme: GENRE FREEBIE
I decided to go with one of my favorite genres: Twisty Thrillers. You know, those books that keep you in suspense all the way to the end and make you say, "Wow! I did not see that coming."
The Assignment by Mark Andrew Olsen
Chasers (Alone #1) by James Phelan
Lightning by Dean Koontz
Oops! That's 12 books. Oh, well. It is one of my most favorite genres, so that makes it hard to narrow it down to just 10 books. And all of these are so good. At least, I loved them all.
Happy Reading!

What a great list. Thank you for sharing.

Happy Tuesday, Regine. :D
DeleteDefinitely a good list, Lark! I've read 3 or 4 of them and enjoyed them a lot. Will check out the others and see if they might work for me. I also like the twisty thrillers. :-)
ReplyDeleteThey can be a lot of fun. Good summer popcorn reads. :D
DeleteI do love a good twist. My favorite is still the twist in Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney😁
ReplyDeleteI still need to read that one! Knowing you loved the twist in it makes me want to read it even more. :D
DeleteNow You See Me is a great book. I loved that whole series.
ReplyDeleteI love that whole series, too. In fact, I think it was on your blog where I first heard about Now You See Me. :D
DeleteI love a twisty thriller too but haven't read any of the ones on your list! This is not good for my TBR!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! ;D
DeleteYes, a good twist is great.
ReplyDeleteToo many twists can be a bad thing, but one good twist...gotta love that. :D
DeleteI love a good plot twist in a novel!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. :D
DeleteI don't read a ton of thrillers but I do love a book that can keep me in suspense, so I'll have to look up some of these titles.

I really loved Sister, Now You See Me and Good as Gone. And thanks for commenting! :D
DeleteI do love books where you are like "wait, what just happened?!" Great post, Lark :)
ReplyDelete:D Thanks, Cindy. After I'd posted it, I realized I'd done a similar post a few years back with some of the same books on it. Oh, well! If I didn't remember I'm sure no one else will either.
DeleteWhile I don't like surprise endings or cliffhangers, I appreciate it when the villain ends up being someone I don't expect or something unexpected happens that makes total sense by the end. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog, Lark.
ReplyDeleteI love a good twist...but I have read books where the twist at the end kind of ruined the whole book. It can definitely go both ways. :D
DeleteI love Twisty Thrillers! I have not heard of any of the ones you've listed. I will have to check them out. Have you read The Familiar Dark by Amy Engel? I read it a few years ago and loved it.
ReplyDeleteI have not read The Familiar Dark, but it sounds like it's a book I need to check out. Thanks for the rec!
DeleteConsidering I read a lot of thrillers, I'm surprised that I've only read 3 of these. I chose Crime Thriller series for my TTT this week.
ReplyDeleteYou do read a lot of thrillers...your Thursday Thrillers post always adds to my own TBR. ;D
DeleteI guess I'm not much of a thriller reader, because I haven't read any of these! It's been many years since I read a Dean Koontz book -- but I remember how totally absorbed I was every time I picked up one of his books!
ReplyDeleteI used to read Koontz all the time and I loved his books; but I haven't ready any of his books in years. The one time I tried one of his more recent books I ended up DNFing it because it just wasn't as good as his earlier books.
DeleteI haven't read any of these and that's surprising considering mystery/thriller is my most read genre! I'll note these! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are several on here I think you would like!
DeleteIt's been so long since I read a good thriller. I'll have to look these up.
ReplyDeleteI really loved some of these...like Sister and Now You See Me and Good As Gone...those are 3 favs.
DeleteAwesome list, Lark! I love a good twisty thriller too! :D
ReplyDeleteYou might like some of these. :D
DeleteI’ve read quite a few thrillers over the years - they are often “comfort reads” for me - but none of the ones you’ve listed, so I’ve got to check into these a little closer. Luckily for the authors, I’m easily fooled, one of those readers that usually take the bait or get lost in the smokescreen.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes guess the twist, but I didn't in any of these books. :D
DeleteI haven't read a single one!
ReplyDeleteWell, if you're ever looking for a good thriller, I enjoyed all of these. :D
DeleteOf this list, I've only read Safe. So basically you've just added every other title to my TBR!
ReplyDelete:D Turnabout is fair play! After all, you're always adding books to my TBR.
DeleteSadly I have not read a single one
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these recs, I enjoy a good twisty thriller. I've read Lightning from your list.
